The alleged lynching of a seven-year-old boy in an unidentified area in Lagos State has attracted the attention of Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar.
He condemned the act via his Twitter account, @atiku.
“That jungle justice still exists is an indictment of our justice system. We must work harder to deepen confidence in our justice system.
“I’m saddened by the stories of lynching from different parts of Nigeria. Irrespective of age or alleged crime, we have to be more tolerant.”
It should be noted that the news of a 7-year-old boy allegedly lynched for stealing Garri in Badagry area of Lagos surfaced earlier this week.
